20th of September: Ronald Plasterk, Minister of Education, Culture and Sience visited the open-air-exhibition 'Carpe Diem' in Venlo.
September 10 - 15: Exhibition in art-hall Aktovy Zal in Moscow, Russia, with Sabrina van den Heuvel, Ting Chan and Henny Boogert, during Melkweg Art Weekend. With 'Lips'.
August-September: Creating new work in Kenya, together with Julius Mwelu and his foundation.
Now: Carpe Diem, the serie about youngster in Venlo, is exhibited outdoor in Q4, Venlo. Over 40 photos are to be seen on big sizes during the renovation of this neighbourhood in the Northern Limburg city. Later this year extra works will be added. In three years time over 100 different photos can be seen.

April: Selection of 'Jeffrey' exhibited by Gallery Temporary, at Looiersgracht 37A, Amsterdam. Together with the artists Sydion Cucaro (drawings) and Harmen Sliep (paintings).
15th of Januar 2009: Foam Album 08 coming out, including a photo by Jasper Groen (from the serie 'Nina'). Photographers working with Foam were requested to send in their 'best, most personal, favourit' photo made in 2008. For sale at Foam for 19,95 euro.

New book: In september a new photobook will be launched in Melkweg Galerie, with portraits of youngsters by Martijn van de Griendt and Jasper Groen. The title 'Finding Emo' refers to their search to emo-youngsters in the Netherlands, although the book is basicly about all kind of alternative young people. The book has two different covers, two types of paper and two different styles of photography on 80 pages. This unique document will be for sale in a limited edition of 500 copies, and will cost 19,95 euro.

June: Photos of assignment by Viktor & Rolf online. This 'making of' from the exhibition 'The House of Viktor & Rolf' in Barbican Artgallery, London, is published in exhibition's catologue, Vogue UK, l'Express and Avantgarde
September 2008: Wedsnesday the 3rd of September Erwin Olaf will open 'Young Identities', the solo-exhibition in Melkweg Galerie, Amsterdam. Series to be seen: Finding Emo (a collection of portraits from emo-punk-youngsters and their friends), Jeffrey - The Sequel (with new photos, taken after the exhibition in Foam), and the very best prints of Lips. Financial supported by Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst and Eyes On Media.

24 May - 29 June 2008: Installation with DJ ISIS in Foam, museum for photography in Amsterdam. Included are 64 photos of Lips. Official prints will be exhibited (and on sale) at the Melkweg Gallerie, september 2008 (among other works).
20 March - 4 May 2008: Groupsexhibition at Tent Rotterdam, entitled 'Redefine the enemy', about (political) activism in art. Shown are photos taken during filming the short movie 'The Supper' by director Mostafa Heravi (featuring John Bol as Jesus). The photos support the world premiere of this movie in Tent. Other participants are: Jonas Staal & Vincent W.J. van Gerven Oei, Sea Urchin/Ben Schot, Anne Schiffer, Daniele Pario Perra, Justin Wijers and Daan Samson.

Now: Poem of Tsead Bruinja, based on one of the 'XXX Portraits'. Due to offensive language and the negative approach of the model and the photo curators of Festival Naarden refused to publish this poem in the festival's catalogue.
26-29 July: Exhibition of (un)Dressed at the Streetlab Festival, Amsterdam. Including new work.
June: Exhibition 'Love me tender' during Epson Festival Naarden. 'Love me tender' is a selection of four series around sexuality, gender and identity. Photos included from 'Gothic Lolita's' and 'XXX Portraits'.
10th of April: Website of Studio Umsjatka online. A full-equiped studio in the Spaarndammerbuurt, where I work together with photographer Ram van Meel.
Now: SBK Amsterdam Osdorp sells numbered and signed prints from 'Jeffrey'. ('Breakdance Kid', 'The Swimming Pool' and 'On the stairs'; all number 2/8)
